AID FOR NIGER'S FAMINE

Hosanna Institute of the Sahel mobilizing direct aid for the people of Niger.
Hosanna Institute of the Sahel is partnering with organizations from Germany and America to provide immediate food in the hardest hit areas.  Humedica International is a humanitarian aid organization from Germany that is sending continual doctor teams to work alongside Hosanna.  You can read more about their effort on their website www.humedica.de.  The Christian Broadcasting Network from America is also working with Humedica, Operation Blessing and Hosanna providing funding for the costs associated with distribution of the food.

1,165.5 tons of grain was alloted to this effort by the World Food Programme (United Nations) and distribution has already begun.

Hosanna, Humedica and CBN are concentrating in the area of Quallam.  This is North of the capital city of Niamey.  (See map).  In this area, many of the men have left the villages in search of food, leaving the women and children to wait in expectation for their return.

Additionally, Hosanna is wanting to provide other grain and food products through the 70+ Christian churches in the Niamey area.  This food will go directly to the people as well.

Please continue to pray that God will provide for the people of Niger.
