HIS has a partnership with Operation Blessing International to help train the local people of Niger to thrive in spite of the challenges in the local economy and the adverse weather conditions. In the two villages Sarando and Moli, over 1,000 women are trained to farm under the most adverse conditions.

In addition, HIS has programs to assist families in rural areas in building private farms to be large enough that they are both sustainable and profitable.

Another project is the goat milk program that provides milk for mothers who are not able to breastfeed their children.
